Default 1941 Ford Deluxe 2 door sedan running boards

Hello all, my 1941 came without running boards. Anyone with advice on finding and replacing these with the correct ones would be greatly appreciated.

Best bet is to look through Hemmings, Craiglist for someone parting out the running boards. I had a friend who built a street rod and made his own running boards out of 2x8. You don't have any location information in your post but swap meets are another place to find parts.

Running boards for '41 are shown in the C&G catalog as 11A-16450-SM, $390 per pair, The rubber covers are separate, 11A-164450-PR $290. As you can see, they are pricey. 1941 was a transition year at Ford, so production was limited as they geared up for war. Replacing or installing running boards is a tough and dirty job. They were fastened to the body with cage nuts, and most must be replaced requiring cutting into the rockers to reach them
