Default Radial tires and new wheels

I wish to put radial tires and new stock type wheels on my 50 Crestliner.
Do any of you have any suggestions where to buy the wheels? I want to use Diamonback ww tires.
Thanks

Check with the folks at Diamond Back re wheels, They might have a suggestion as where to source wheels. Found them very helpful and great to deal with

I use a lot of wheels from Wheel Smith. They are easy to work with, offer a nice variety and their powder coating looks like hand rubbed paint and you can't paint them for what they charge. Plus their reasonably fast.

Look at Wheel Vintique website. I bought mine through summit racing. They come with excellent powder coating primer ready to paint.

I recommend Wheelsmith. The quality of Wheel Vintiques has slipped since they were bought by Coker.JMHO

Wheel Vintiques didn't seem to know what I was asking for when I was looking for a custom back space. Gave up on them and went with Wheelsmith. Good stuff and they know what they are doing.

Jerry, having followed your posts for a long time, I think you will be happy with the people and products at Wheelsmith. These guys know exactly what they are doing and are great to deal with. I have been to their shop and would only use them for any wheel project. They made the wheels for my 40 pickup. Talk to them, you will be happy.
Just an opinion

I have used wheels from Wheelsmith in the past and have been very happy with them.

One question though. What would be wrong with using the original rims for the car? I had a '49 several years ago and used radials on the original rims and they seemed to work just fine.

I really wanted to buy chrome wheels from Wheelsmith, because of their reputation, but they do not offer a stock OE vented Ford with a single bolt pattern, as I will use spider center caps. I decided to buy four series 64 from Wheel Vintiques, two standard and two with a custom back space. The chrome and welds look very nice, and they all checked OK when profiled on a Hunter road force balancer at our local Tire Rack. The only issue is the custom back space was 1/8" less than what I ordered, but was told that was the best they could do on this size wheel. Since all the wheels checked out fine construction wise, I'll live with the rear wheel BS, and have to give WV credit for an overall good job.

Well if you're wanting stock rims just buy some old used rims - search on here or the HAMB board - there's plenty still around. BTW watch the clearance on the back with radials - are you running skirts??
