Default 30-31 Roof Rib Wood

I purchased a partially complete car that came with 4 wood rood ribs. It has one roof rib (38” x 1 ¼”) (picture #1 and #3) is fairly flat and three others (42” x ¾”) (picture #2 and #4) that are narrower and too longfor the car have a slight bow. I assume the three longer ones are incorrect, but the 38" piece seem to fit good.

Most of the catalog show two different part numbers for roof ribs and I think three are the same and the forth is different.

Brattons
30-31 5 WINDOW COUPE WIDE ROOF RIB
Part #: 39112
$27.75 /ea

30-31 5 WINDOW COUPE TOP BOW
Part #: 39111
$22.00 /ea

Does any one know which rail I have before I go buy three others?
Can anyone tell me what the longer rails are to?

Thanks - Arty

30 minutes with a band saw and a forstner bit and you will save the cost of new wood.

There is supposed to be a slight bow in the roof. The flat one may be the 1st rib and then the bow takes over on the other? But I agree with Desotoguy.

I just did mine and found that all the bows are the same length and all have the same profile that matches the header and the rear most piece.

The one that fits is the one you need to duplicate or buy. Glue some cloth on top of the bows before you do the top, it'll stop squeaks.
