I was always amazed at the use of Phaetons and Roadsters for Police car duty in the late 20's early 30's and thought ' those guys are getting soaked'!!!

36's are almost as good looking as 35's
I also prefer the looks of a 35 over a 36, but then I wouldn't kick a 36 out of my garage

Well... I hate to say it but the '36 will be FOR SALE here within the next few months. My wife and I had twin boys last December and the '36 project is going to be sent down the road to make way for the new family hauler I just picked up. I replaced the OG mechanical brakes with some '39 wide 5 juice brakes, reversed the spring eyes and added a dropped '36 axle. I cleaned up the chassis quite a bit and am planning to get the body put back on this weekend and start piecing things back together. Below are some pics of the chassis from last weekend and a pic of my new toy. Definitely not an easy decision to let it go after finally getting the car after so many years but it was either the '36 or my '32 sedan and that one's not goin anywhere.

Keep an eye on the classifieds and pass the word on!!!

Great find and the makings of a good project. 40 Deluxe and I also had the same thought, seeing that car striped down in that shape sure brings back memories of the dirt tracks.

The Jeane Dixon Horoscope on the windshield newspaper says March 1, 1978(I think) so 40 years in storage.

Kind of a bummer story, but it's out of the garage, I guess...

Thanks for the story! You lucky bum! Keep it stock and original. I'm in the process of restoring a 36 Cab. Great fun. Bruce

Don't sell it! Give it to your kid in the picture. I can tell from his eyes he's already in love with it. You'll save him the trouble of having to track it down in 30 years.

Old running board covers that have been sitting in a box since the early 80's that I just installed. Bob Drake makes the best covers.
