Smile Missing Shocks, What Else?

My '29 roadster has no shocks. Can anyone tell me what other shock-related components, other than the shocks themselves, I should check for in order to purchase a complete system? Probably going the traditional shock route rather than modern. Photos or drawings appreciated. Bless you all.

Doug.....call Amanda at Rusty Lugs. Her shop is in Vancouver. 360-887-3346. For what it's worth I had tube shocks and hated em. I went with Stipe Machine co. shocks and love them big time.

Get the reproduction shock kits with all of the linkage parts. Don't waste your time trying to find swap meet stuff. Brattons, Snyders or Stipe.

I bought the complete kit (nothing else to buy) for the original style of shocks with original style shock tubes from either Snyders or Brattons, I'd have to look.

Set me back $1,200 bucks.

Let's just say, ... I'm still having a hard time sitting without a donut shaped pillow!

Regards
Bill

Brattons has new bolt on tube shocks for a lot less. I like them.
Remember to grease the springs.

That was my choice, ... Originals for 1200 or tubes for 400. It cost me 800 to have the car look correct.
