Default Wishbone Adapter

I am assembling a V8 transmission with 39 gears for use in my Model A.
I am using the truck transmission housing (78-7006) which is a 1/4" deeper where the wishbone adapter mounts versus a V8 car transmission. Does anyone know of a source for a different wishbone adapter bracket for this situation? I tried the one from Snyders but it does not clear any better than the bracket I already have. Either bracket would need to be shorter by .25" at least to fit.
I measured a Model A bell housing and where the wishbone cups mount and it is 7.00" from the centerline of the housing. Near as I can tell this same dimension is 7.42" from centerline for the truck V8 transmission with the bracket I am using.
Does anyone have dimensions I can reference so I can tell where this assembly is supposed to end up at?
I thought I would add this thread to the Early V8 discussion (it is on the Model A Forum right now) in case V8 owners may have some guidance.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with Model A's at all. However, I can tell you with 100% certainty that a spacer was used with the four speed transmissions installed in pickup trucks, '39 -'40 to move the wishbone (ball) downward about 3/4". I do have one of those spacers.
They were NOT used with a three speed.

Thank you for your reply. I figured it out myself. I have the 3 speed transmission. The case for a truck is deeper by .25", so I have modified my bracket to suit. The bracket I am referring to is in the adapter kit to adapt a V8 transmission to a Model A.

Could you post a photo of your modified bracket?

moving the wishbone up or down will change front end caster.
