What years/models had a 4 sp. top loader?
I'm trying to figure out which years/models had a 4 sp. top loader trans. I don't need a hi-po one like in the early Mustangs, just one that I can put behind a flathead V-8 in a '28 Roadster. Any help/leads would be appreciated. If anyone has one for sale in the New Jersey area, I'd be interested. Thanks. <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |

Until 1963 ford used a borg-warner T-10 four speed in everything. Starting in 64 Ford used its own design know as a toploader. Ford used the T-10 in mustangs and fairlanes until 66. starting in 67 Ford used only the toploader in all car lines that had a fourspeed. They used them until 73 on the mustang and torino. In the mid to late 70s they used the same design toploader, only regeared as an overdrive in the granada and fairmount lines as well as the pick-up trucks. <table><tr><td><font face="arial"> |
