Default Bumper bolts 1933

My foot slipped off the clutch and I bumped into the wall, slightly bending the bumper. I want to remove the bumper and noticed the nuts on the bolts are different sizes. On the front, the two center nuts are 3/4" the two outside are 9/16." My "Common" sense is telling me these should all be the same. Should they indeed be all 3/4?" Or what? I know this topic is trivial but I just want to know.

Thank you.

Are you talking about the nuts on the bumper brackets to the frame or the bolts that hold the bumer to the brackets? The bolts that hold the brackets to the frame would have the 3/4 nuts. The acorn style bolts that hold the bumper to the bracket would have the 9/16 nut. Personally I have not seen 3/4 nuts on the acorn bolts.

On my '33 the bumper bolt on the face is a 7/16 fine thread stainless capped oval head.On the ends are 7/16 fine thread carriage bolt(no SS cap). All the nuts on the 8 take a 5/8 wrench.Hope this helps

I just wanted to remove the bumper and noticed different size nuts on the back holding the bumper on. It seems they should be all the same, but maybe they're not!

Thanks for addressing this minor detail
