Default Alternator that Fits Serpentine pulley

Just bought a 30 Model A that has a Cling's serpentine belt system. 6 volt positive ground alternator has problems, and I am trying to find a new one with a shaft that will accommodate the serpentine pulley. Advertisers don't describe length of shaft and diameters. Anyone out there who has matched a new alternator with a Cling's serpentine pulley who can tell me what alternator will work? Thanks

Calling Cling would be the way to go.

I run an alternator with Cling's system, and his pulley just slipped right on. I think all alternators have the same input size, at least all GM's do.

I tried Cling's via e-mail and the address did not work. Went to their web site and their "contact" link doesn't work. Maybe they got the disease. I'll keep trying.....my alternator garage says it can repair the one I left for testing. Would rather have shinny new unit than old rebuilt.

Is your alternator a Chevy S-10 type (3 wire) or a Delco CS 130 (2 wire) type. Thanks for your reply.

It's an S-10 type 3wire, but only one was connected. Alternator guy said he could not get the alternator to "excite", probably a bad regulator. He said it was extremely clean inside and that he could fix it...so I told him to do that. I had decided to get a new S-10 type before that, but hadn't yet tracked one down on a 6v positive ground configuration. Thanks all.

Regulators are cheap. POS and NEG ground both use the same regulator. Only the wiring and rectifier are different
