I want to thank everyone for their help. I called the seller and he said they didn't touch the battery and looking at a video they made the amp was charging so I'm leaving it negative ground.

Sounds good. If you are having issues with charging it, might be the charger or battery. You could take the battery to an auto parts store and have it tested.

Best to do the electrical as original so the next person won't have a mess to deal with and have to figure it out. Mark the cables and posts with red and black so anyone could attach a charger W/O being injured. Your choice on what to use for ground only know that it was always pos. to ground. Bulbs, starter, don't care and generator if re-polarized dosen't care either.

Most all vehicles are now negative ground . Most people have never heard of positive ground so they just make a razoo and connect the cables wrong .

The amp was charging in the video ? So how is the ammeter acting now ? If it is acting as it should, then it can be left alone if you like.
