Default K-N air filter

A couple of days ago, last year, someone wanted the part no. for the K-N filter for the 94 and 97 carb. I told them I'd check the box in my shop. ( part no. RU-2650 ) Tell no. on the box 800-858-3333 another no. 951-826-4000 Walt

K&N Filter RU2650 may be used when adapting to 35-36 air filter 4in.high,X4 1/2 Dia.

I know this isn't early ford post, but some info on the k&n filter, don't use it on modern cars with a mass air flow sensor, it will foul the heat wire in the sensor and turn on your check engine lite, its the oil used on the filter paper that is drawn into the intake runner over the sensor that fouls it, its not much oil vapor but it doesn't take much to foul it, if your lucky a can of spray mass ail flow cleaner may fix the problem, if this doesn't really belong here Ryan will delete it

i got one in a Helmet type air cleaner, i could tell it made a difference the way the motor cranked over, and i could hear the motor breathe

Wasn't there a post that had the oil bath assembly taken out and a K-N filter element as a replacement for better breathing?
