41-48 Woodie Owners...
I need about 5-6 of these special washers. They are used on the two rear passenger door hinges to seat the special clipped head 5/16th" hinge machine screws. I've sourced new hinge machine screws and they are excellent products but the replacement washers are too deep to seat properly in the counter-sunk hinge screw holes. Any of you guys have a few extras you'd part with? I know that they were used on 41 wagons but do not know for sure if they were also used on 42-48 wagons. The OD is 3/4" and the ID is just slightly over 5/16"(hard to measure since it's not a round hole).

Re: 41-48 Woodie Owners...
The washers on my '46 Wagon are different. Ed Clarke, "Woodieoligist" just passed away and he had the '46 style in his catalog along with the special 5/16" screws. I wonder what is going to happen with Ed's inventory? The washers on my '46 are similar but don't have the "serrations". I think they would work on a '41.

Re: 41-48 Woodie Owners...
Those washers look identical to those used to secure rear door hinges on 35-36 fordor sedans. Might make it a bit easier to source?

Brian, do the 35-36 washers have the "teeth" around the inside hole?

Is Ed Clarke's business still active or has it shut down at his passing?

[QUOTE= Ed told me that business hasn't been as good as a few years back.[/QUOTE]
It is slowing down across the board because the young set has a "Supra"mentality and doesn't relate to old iron, especially woodies. |

Your correct Phillip, it's guys like us that are keeping it alive. All we can do is try our best to keep it going for as long as we can.

Yes, they look identical...and are used in conjunction with 5/16 NF screws with a special small head

Re: 41-48 Woodie Owners...
Another lead, but unfortunately another person that has passed away. In the Roy Nacewicz catalog is listed, "PN, R-922 Special door hinge screws for Station Wagons and Sedan Delivery, 1935-39. Special slotted counter-sunk screws and special washers. $12.95. Might be what you need, but as you probably know Roy passed away.
