I don't know anything about them, but here's a link to the webpage of an outfit that goes by that name:

The "reviews" by satisfied customers make it look pretty good. Wonder what the cost is?

Send money before he finds you a buyer and sells your car? Legit brokers get their cut after the sale. Sounds fishy to me, especially since the contact came from a Craigslist add and he is out of state. My advice is to run. JMO.

I got a similar offer a few years ago. they had buyers waiting to buy my car. Send $89 right now. I checked out the offer, and there were law suits and better business bureau reports saying what a scam it was. I dont even put my phone number in ads anymore, just email through craigs list.

C list is notorious for that kind of scam. I would not fall for it.

Sounds suspiciously illedigimentiously to me. Maybe even a scam! 8^) Jack E/NJ

I recently put a car on Craigslist and specifically said I did not need help selling the car. I have had 4 calls from dealers/brokers wanting to sell my car for me. I just hang up on them. I did tell one of them that if he wasn't smart enough to read my entire ad there is no way I would trust him to sell my car.

I didn't realize they wanted money up front. In that case, avoid them.
Once they have your money you are done. Looks like all your doing is paying
for ads.

I experienced great service from Michael at "WeBe Autos", no cost until sale, then 5%. They handle all the advertising and filter the inquiries. They also facilitated the money and title exchange.

I advertised 2 cars on both CL and AutoTraderClassic. From each I received multiple offers by different people claiming to represent companies to sell the cars for me. I sold both without any help and similar to TJ, to discourage them blocked their phone # after the second call from each of them. Both eventual buyers were from the CL ad. I got no inquiries from the AutoTraderClassic ads which I had to pay for.

I remember a article on the internet about a guy in the states doing exactly that . Getting information and pics from sellers. He would take a advertising deposit . Post your vehicle for sale. Do the deal and keep all money. Sounds like the same type of scam.

Like the title "Scam or ledigiment".

Maybe a broker, maybe not... It started with a Craigslist ad. Sooo...... run

Most brokers work on sale commissions, not up front money. They have a Rolodex of buyers or know how to advertise to give you the better/best price.

Don, I too, had a similar experience when I listed my '39 on Craigs List here in AZ. I think these outfits troll the CL's looking for customers. The $ up front is a real red flag in my opinion. Good luck with your sale.

Yeah, I have some guy pestering me over a car I'm selling. Think he wanted $300 up front. He's persistent, leaves me a message every week or so. "Carl, I've got GREAT news, call me back!!!" ...I have a feeling he might be legit but I'm not sending ANY money up front.

I had a very good experience selling through Streetside Classics. They moved my Model A in a couple of weeks and the entire transaction was pain free. They are mostly in eastern US and you need to take the car to one of their showrooms. I'm in the Atlanta area.
