Most of you will have seen complaints on this forum about shipping costs from the US. For a $6.15 item, Steiner wants $46.50 to send it USPS. They have to be kidding.
Anybody have a suggestion on how I can do this??
I am a shipping clerk. Try FedEx. See if they will work with FedEx. They are very good, and international is not a problem for me... (I worked for the Post Office for 30 years, and they suck).

Thanks, HLM. It is a common thread here on FB that freight from the US is stupidly expensive to anywhere outside the US. Although I haven't checked out Fed Ex myself, I'm sure others have. I haven't heard any reports of a more competitive rate. I might check them out if ever I have another order. Because of the freight costs, many of us shop locally.

I get parts from Steiner for my Ford 9n. Nice old tractor parts vendor. I also get a kick out of "Wrenching With Rachael" on YouTube.

Be aware that the needle that Steiner sells does not fit all of the Marvel Model A carbs. I ordered one and it does not fit my carb. Marvel had two different thread sizes on their valve seats over the years. I believe mine is 5/16 dia.

Some Propane places have BOXES & BOXES of gas carbuerators, that have been replaced with PROPANE ones.

Finding someone who knows what they are doing with a carburetor is becoming as difficult as for a magneto or 3 brush generator. That will only get worse as our cars become more and more out dated - the same outdatedness that attracts oddballs like us.
