I bought a "NOS" Purolator filter on FLEABAY for my stepdown Hudson, when it came it had been spray bombed red, and a crappy job at that, no biggy, I would have bought it anyway but not for what I paid for it, so I left him neutral feedback, and he got very mad, and asked what he could do to make me change my feedback. When I asked the seller why he listed it as "NOS", he said because it did not look like it had been used, and it had the instruction sheet with it. I told him that "NOS" parts are not generally repainted. He then accused me of extortion, be cause I asked for money back, some people just don't get it!!!

If you get on the computer and go to the www.craigzoom website...a search engine nationwide for craigslist.....just type in "BARN FIND" you'd be surprized what pops up sometimes some really cool old cars, trucks, motorcycles!!

We get the same nonsense on eBay over here in the UK. My pet hate is the crappy Chinese toy models that come up if you're looking for something like '50s F-100 parts.

There is a '42 or '46 Ford pickup on there at the moment that is "barn fresh" with big, bright vinyl or painted dummy fuel company logos on the doors, and freshly painted wheels with damn new radials on them! Apparently it is rust-free (with just a few small holes as expected...) as it came from the dry state of Wisconsin: now, I'm no expert on US states, but I have been to Illinois and I know Wisconsin is just north of that, so don't they get every kind of weather? And having been in Il. during cold weather I know their roads are salted to death when it snows - don't they do that in Wisconsin?
