Default Speedometer for 32 Roadster

I am getting real close to hitting the road with this car. It is a Brookville 32 Highboy roadster with a flathead. Behind that is a 39 trans with LZ gears then a closed drive line 36 rear end. The speedometer drive is the turtle type. I have a mechanical SW speedometer that is filling the hole in the dash at this point. I do not have any cable for this. Questions:
1. Will a ford steedo cable marry up to the SW speedometer without any adapter.
2. If I get the correct speedometer driven gear (turtle) for the rear end ratio will the SW speedometer be accurate
3 Or should I just get an electric speedo. Easier to route wire than a cable

The Ford speedo cable attaches perfectly to my Stewart Warner speedo. It is an original 40's Wings gauge. But I have seen different types of attachments on different Stewart Warner gauges.

To my old knowledge most mechanical speedos will read at 60 MPH with an input of 1,000 RPM on the drive input. Therefore all you need to have is a turtle (they are marked) with a ratio that matches your rear end ratio. Any tyre size diameter different to the original will also effect the speedo reading. Once you have it all fitted up you can compare your dash speedo reading with a GPS unit to see if its correct or not. Regards, Kevin.
