Default 33/34 steering question

Would any one know if the taper on the 40-3311 drag link stud is the same taper as the later 11A-3290-A drag link end.
that is would the later 11A -3290-A end fit into the 33/34 steering arm.
Thanks Lawrie

Ted and Deuce L
Is the 40-3311 stud thats in the 33/34 a taper fit in the arm, not straight
Its looks like a straight shaft into the arm, not a taper in my parts books.

1933/34 Ball Studs and the later drag link ends should all normally be 7 degrees taper

Ok ,thanks, Will order some new ends.

Very handy tool you made there Lawrie! Iwas wondering how I would get one of those back o the shaft without damaging it.

Is the cup in the holder straight, or does it have a slight taper?

I discovered a new steering box that works well on the early frames. it's the Toyota Celtic 70/early 80's. This box has the input shaft over the frame giving the exhaust manifolds more clearance. the input shaft excepts a GM rag joint and the output shaft a Ford pitman arm. I'm using 39 spindles with this setup. This may not help you with this project, but good information for future builds.

Thanks Ron,
Then I wouldn,t be able to use the stock light switch.
good info though.
We had two good results yesterday, one the 33 steering worm and the other was to get the spark plugs out of our 06 fairlane with the 3 valve V8 engine.
Needed the special extractor tool, it worked a treat, they are one weird spark plug.
