Default 1933 1934 NOS Aluminum Heads

I know it's all in the eyes of the buyer however I'm curious on the value of NOS 21 Stud Aluminum heads and intake. Never owned a pair. Just curious. Thank you for your input!
Stu

That the heads can only be used with flat-top pistons brings down their value....And, there are not many '33-'34's running the single barrel Detroit Lubricator carburetor....

They are of greatest value to the guy who is putting his car on the concourse.
I have some for my 33 phaeton for when I do a complete resto and I would think if they are truly NOS I don't think at least $1500 for the pair would be out of line. The repros are about that much. Like Petehoovie said, if the intake is a 34 it would be worth much more then the 33 single barrel DL. There are parts for that carb that are not available.

The heads are for flattop pistons so will be OK for 1935 engine also. Unless they are new old stock unused I think $1500 is high but then what do I know...

Hi there, those heads don't really appear to be NOS. You can see where the gaskets have been sitting on the underside of the heads where there is light corrosion and markings. Need to look into the front where the pumps are mounted to see inside there. I think they have been used and beadblasted. More pics needed. Regards, Kevin.

33,
The high point guys will pay top dollar if that intake is UNCUT. Most '32 - '33
intakes have the boss adjacent to the f/p cut to allow use of the later style pumps.
My wallet says $1200 for the heads and intake (if uncut)

Thanks guys! I really appreciate your feedback. I'll look closer at the NOS part as KOATES pointed out. Thanks again.

Stu, It appears that your aluminum heads are numbered 40-6049 and 6050 with no Ford script or "A" suffix. If that is correct, these heads would be for V-8 engines produced from Dec 1932 thru Dec 1933. While they would fit V-8 engines thru 1936, they would not be authentically correct. These heads if NOS, should be fairly rare.

Early production '33 aluminum heads did not have part numbers cast into the heads and Ford script was not added until August, 1934.
