nut
Morning guys, I'm in the process of installing a new water pump and as long as I have the radiator out I'm putting in a new crank pulley. Does the nut turn counter clockwise to loosen? Thanks

Re: nut
righty tighty, lefty loosey. Off the top of my head I can't think of any left handed threads on these monsters.

Re: nut
If you have a Stewart-Warner horn the end of the armature has a left handed thread.

If you run into difficulties getting the Ratchet Nut off A tip - put a wrench on the nut, jam the wrench against the frame, ignition off, bump the starter. Make sure you put the wrench so it is jammed when the starter is bumped, otherwise the wrench can go flying. Last edited by 30 Closed Cab PU; 05-14-2019 at 09:03 AM. Reason: typos |
