How about a picture where we can see the label?

It looks like it would protrude pretty far into the combustion chamber . While it would fit a model A head , my guess is model T spark plug .

IIRC, Model T plugs have pipe thread?

Numerous manufacturers made plugs for the Model A. Some were private label plugs for retailers like Sears, Wards, Gamble's, etc.

Firstly, it's important to remember that 7/8" plugs pre-date the Model A, there were available during the Brass Car era. My understanding is that the 7/8" plugs came in three lengths...regular, long and extra long. The one in the photo at the top I think might be the "long".

This I think is "regular":

This I think is "extra long" :

Early Model Ts received 1/2" pipe "regular" size plugs, then changed to 1/2" pipe "long" size plugs once the lower compression "high" heads started being fitted.

What length 7/8" plugs were factory fitted to the Model A? Do both "regular" and "long" versions work equally as well?

Correct. Nice to have a guy on the forum who knows their plugs.
