They are not dual exhaust, they use a cross-over pipe.

The one marked as R5 looks to be a 49-53 passenger side.
Not sure about the other one except that it is also a passenger side.

I can't find it now but seem to recall an ad showing a factory dual exhaust set of manifolds for the 8BA engine. Some type of "police interceptor" option for the Mercury engines. My 52 Merc has 8BA (with stock single exhaust) in the manifold part number.

Dual exhaust was offered in 1953.
