I am working on a 1947 Super Deluxe Coupe. I see that rear footrests were installed in some of the 47's that I have seen. I do not think I have seen them in a coupe only the 2 and 4 door sedans. Were these standard on certain models or available as options etc.

We have a '47 Convertible with no footrest. I have had both a '46 & '48 Tudor Sedan and they had the footrest. The Club Coupe, like the Convertible has limited floor space in the rear so Ford must have omitted the footrest in those body styles.

My 41 business coupe has them.

My 41 Super Deluxe club coupe ( also called a sedan coupe ) has foot rests - but since my Grandpa started to hop up the coupe in mid / late 41 - he must have had another seat upholstered in the custom leather pattern to allow him to keep the car on the road during interior work

So the club coupe from factory should not have footrests

Okay, I will answer the question.... Footrests were not (factory) installed in your 1947 Ford coupe.
