Default newer two BBL carb

I have a feeling JSeery has done this, but where can I get a adapter for a 3 bolt carb to a 2 bolt manifold? I am acquiring a H 226 six cylinder and am thinking of using a newer 2 BBL carb.
My thinking is maybe they are more suitable for the newer gas?
Just wondering...........

The only thing that I can think of in a carburetor that would be affected by 'new' gas would be any rubber parts.
Other than that, can't see that the performance would be affected.

Speedway motors has 2 to 3 bolt adapters but maybe not for your application.

To me it would depend on how often it gets run. Ethanol attacks about everything, but it is a slow process. Fuel setting in fuel tanks, gas lines, carbs, etc for long periods of time is not the best. It also absorbs moisture from the air which is also not good. Something like a carb is probably not much of an issue short term and can be repaired when or if it became an issue. I would be more concerned with fuel pumps if a ruptered diaphram would allow fuel into the crankcase or rubber fuel line that is not compatible with new fuels.

Adapters should be fairly easy to find.

Find a 7HA carburetor and refresh it. It is compatible with the loadamatic distributor.

I am tinkering with the idea of using the Autolite 1100 carburetor from a 65 Mustang 6 cylinder. It works with the loadamatic distributor and is a one barrel like the Holley 847. But as Cmbrucew stated, you need a carburetor that can work with the loadamatic distributor. Otherwise, I believe this is what you are looking for:

I am just not sure how well a two barrel will work squeezing down to one barrel. I have seen these with 3 bolts also.

Speedway has an adapter:

but you will need another adapter to get it to sit properly on the stock manifold.
Update
Okay, I found what I was looking for:

Most of the carburetor kits produced now have parts that are about as ethanol resistant as they can get. An older carb with these parts is just as reliable as a newer carb with the 10% ethanol fuel.

You might want ot check with Charlie NY on this one. Any carburetor is going to flood/ percolate this rotten fuel. I know guys with "modern" carbs on small & big blocks and we all just have to live with it. Inline 6's are cool ! m

if you use an adapter, make sure the orientation of the 2 barrel will hook up to the stock linkage.
