Engine man, go ahead an pull the bearings an repack them while your there. I bet you`ll find what`s keeping the drum from coming off too.

you probably got the bering race stuck on the shaft, an will have to get one of those pullers that bolts to the lug nuts and presses on the spindle . to seperate you got to swcrew in on the center bolt , to remove the hub/drum... let us know how it come out...kev

I just removed two stuck bearings this week on a friends A. As Kevin said, get one of those pullers that mount to the lug nuts. It will come off with no problem. Any other way is a waste of time and effort. Believe me, I know.

The bearing most likely will be damaged depending on the amount of force it takes to pull it off. Make sure the replacement bearing slides on and off the spindle without difficulty.

Do you have one of those boards with the notches to assist you in setting up your brake rods?

Did you get cast iron drums?

Good luck !

No Bruce I did not have one of the boards to set up called an A Model friend and he walked me through the basics I used same steel drums for now going to upgrade a little later on with the cast iron drums I have pretty darn good brakes now well better than I had, will upgrade later but they will have to do until I can afford the complete brake rebuild for the car.
