Default 1950 F1 Grill schell paint code/color

Finishing the restoration of a 1950 Canadian built F47 pickup. Very similar to a US built F1. Wondering if anyone knows the correct code for painting the grill shell. It was originally an ivory type color, but would like to get the color as accurate as possible. Did not see a similar topic post on this forum when searched.

Any help would be appreciated.

A bit confused. In the US, the 48 F1 had grilles painted Tucson Tan with stainless trim pieces on the grille bars. The 49 and 50 models had grilles painted Argent (a silverly color). The 51/52 grilles were Sungate Ivory, by some references.

There were some differences with the Canadian built trucks. Dash controls are different. Engine and transmission paint are different. This truck was painted two tone red and black. The grill shell was very faded when we found it behind a huge pile of wood. Maybe the Tucson Tan had faded that much over the years. It had not been on the road since 1978. Unfortunately, there is not much in terms of documentation out there for these trucks. The original numbers were small. This is a rare truck. I was hoping there might be some people with the Canadian answers.

Thanks. Your response will fuel some questions to others.

Hi; My '48 M47 had a tan background around the headlights and I had it matched at the paint store. Found a protected area of original appearance. Sold the truck and all documents though. Newc

What did you find out in the end about the paint color?

TCP Global is about the only paint supplier that tries to reproduce original color number paint and I hear their results are mixed. Some accurate and some not so much. Most paint supply companies can make up a match color if a person has a good sample. The guys that do it by eye are the best. The computer spectrum analyser set up depends on the light too much and can be off by a shade or two.
