29' Tudor Body Drain Holes
I believe the body drain holes on my 29' Tudor were inadvertently welded over when body work was done during restoration. The drain holes in the doors are fine. I need some guidance on the location of the quarter panel drain holes so I can replace them. Does anyone have pictures or a sketch of where they are located? Any help is much appreciated.

I had all of my interior out in the past, but I don't remember drain hole in the sides just in the rear.

Re: 29' Tudor Body Drain Holes
My 29 Tudor is too buried right now, but I think there are oval holes behind the doors for the quarter panels. It seems like I recall someone posting pictures of them a few years ago.

Re: 29' Tudor Body Drain Holes
on my 30 Tudor, I used the door bottom seal as an outside seal to the rear window, so it does not get flooded with so much rain water, and I punch in a hole too, Just see where it dribble too and punch a hole in there... better that there is no standing water making rust and ruining the interior panels.

I saw your post and thought that I could help with the drain question. The Tudor that I have been working on is about the cleanest rust free car I have ever seen. And believe me I have been working on cars (mostly old ones) since 1960 and I have seen some pretty rusty ones. Anyway, I have attached some pictures of the drain holes on this Tudor. The holes (more like a gap) are not very big. This area runs all along the side of the body on each side. I plan on opening the gap up a little more and spraying Rustoleum into that area for extra protection. I don't think that these drains can be seen unless the body is off the frame so I don't know how you will be able to seen them. Hope this helps. |

Re: 29' Tudor Body Drain Holes
The body on fred93 does not look like my 29 Tudor. I had my body lifted recently and on the body itself, the only drains I have seen are right about where the rear fenders bolt to the body. You might even be able to feel them if you reach in above your splash apron at the front of the rear fender.

fred93, I forgot about the drains in the back under the rear seat. I'm sure I took a picture... I'll have to look for that.
