I plan on attending. This has always been a well run event.

Why is this? Hotel availability and cost have always been a factor for me when deciding whether to attend an event or not. I ask because this meet is right at my limit of travel, and I'd like to be able to consider all factors.

Tubman,
Plenty of motel rooms in Auburn. Rates are about $100. The V-8 club will probably get a special rate. Been there many times. Good place and a lot to see.

Thank you Pat. I'll be registering soon. Really enjoyed the last meet that was held there.

Looking forward to the Auburn Meet next year. I have a new job, so I hope I have time off to use. Here are some photos from Auburn, Indiana, Early Ford V-8 Meet in 2011.

As stated above...There are several nice hotels in Auburn. We are trying to achieve the lowest rates for our members. Rest assured...the rates will be lower than most national meets AND the quoted rates will most likely include a hot breakfast!! Our planning committee will be meeting next week in Auburn.

Hope to see you in Auburn next year!

Are any driving tours also going to be offered?

I went through Auburn after the Dearborn Meet two months ago. I got the "V-8 Foundation" rate at the Comfort Suites at around $100. Very acceptable accommodations. The best room I had on the whole trip. I had one of the suites so there was a lot of space. At this particular hotel, they were renovating the lobby, the pool, and the rooms (I asked a front desk worker if the stuff in my room was new because it was in such good shape, the answer was the TV was the only new thing and it was all being changed).

The Deusenberg dudes come through this town yearly and they like things nice, even if they have to use the Comfort Suites.

I have no part of organizing this event, but I guarantee there will be touring. Many cool things to see, and if you haven't already been there, the Mid America Windmill Museum in Kendallville is a hoot! Been there twice! The Air Zoo in Kalamazoo is as good as Wright-Pat or either Smithsonian. Gilmore is only about 30 min from Kalamazoo, about 1:30 from Auburn if I recall correctly.

Auburn is my favorite town to visit! I like that you can hear trains at any time of the day.

Jeff you are one good guy. I like how Auburn was on your way home from Dearborn. Home to D.C. via Dearborn and Auburn. That's fantastic.

As always, I look forward to some great times with good V8 friends.

Sometimes I have memory problems, was there a pre-registration at Dearborn? I always get mixed up if I've registered or not.

Jeff: Yes, there was early registration at Dearborn. Yes, you registered. You even paid! Your registration number is 36. What a coincidence!
