Re: New to the Forum
WHY?? do many say, "Just leave it AS IS"? SCRUB it up really well, or folks will think you're a LAZY, NASTY PIG!! It will still have PLENTY of "PATINA"!
Some folks confuse "PATINA" with plain old NASTINESS!!! My Mamma would have a FIT!! Bill W.

Re: New to the Forum
I will clean it up, but I'm not planning on painting it or anything. This is how it was when it was my grandpa's daily driver and my mom and aunts and uncles road in it as kids. I kinda want to keep it that way.

Re: New to the Forum
Thanks for the welcome, guys. I started a "journal" of sorts to keep track of what fixes I make and cool drives or cruises I go on. Over here:

That missing carb to manifold gasket will make a big difference, and I always buy the thick copper gasket, like original. |

Re: New to the Forum
I'm from Redwood City, originally, back when it was still a nice little city.
Left in '73, went to Sacramento area, left there when it too turned to crap, left in '98, it was already going downhill quickly.
