Default Hood Arm Bolts - 40 Pickup

What bolts are used to attach the hood arms to the 40 Pickup cowl lip? Any pics or part number?

Just to be sure, the arms are on the outside of that lip and the springs face into the engine bay, correct?

Thanks for any help you can give .....

Ok - thank you gents. Now I’ve got how the arms are supposed to go but what about the bolts that hold the arms to the cowl? From Kube’s pic it looks like the uppers are the same as the lowers?

Thanks .....

Mine has a slotted head screw with a shoulder that the arm pivots on with a 1/4-20 thread, lock washer and nut. Its attached tight and the shoulder is wider then the arm so the arm can move without binding

That is exactly what they took. We sell them in kit form and even have them NOS.

This another place where only the good correct stuff works. Ford hinges and the hardware from 35fordtn. Don't even try anything else.
The difference- disaster versus works perfect. I have a 40 pickup.

I called Third Gen today and Mike was kind enough to send me the two bolts I need via snail mail. Great place to deal with - you were spot on Mark, to suggest calling them.

Thank you, gentlemen ......
