We had a Sunnen Brake Drum Lathe, but found it easier to do the job with an ordinary machine shop engine lathe

I have an Ammco Brake Lathe that does a good job on front and rear model A brake drums. I have done quite a few for club members over the years. I have seen them for sale occasionally on e-bay and even on Craigslist a few times. Don/WI

Ammco will if you install the 11/16" spindle.

The Barrett/jim beam works well, the adapter you can see on the left top fits in the rear wheel bearing so the seal doesn't even have to be removed

I don't know what size the spindle is and I'm not home to check, but I know the outer end needs to be small for the adapter used on the rear hub. Don/WI
