Re: How Long Have You Owned Your Car?
i found mine around the corner from my house . the guy had wanted to make it a hot rod . took most of the engine a part . put most of the part plus some other stuff not from the car inside the car. it sat in his drive way 7 years . slept slowly and waiting longing for rebirth . it was found by me and my wife and brought home in 2005! took most of 2005 to figure out what was from the car and what was not . mothers day 2005 it made it first noise in 18 years. i found I'm only the third owner. she now belongs to me and drives very nice ! i picked the car up for 1,500.....saved from the great junk yard in the sky. another flat head v8 lives to see the light of a new dawn!!!

Re: How Long Have You Owned Your Car?
Dad bought the '34 PU in '54. I was 2 months old. You could say we grew up together. Of course, the truck is in better shape than me!

Re: How Long Have You Owned Your Car?
I've had the 47 Mercury sedan since 1967. I was in High School. I put a lot of miles on that car. Havn't driven it for quite a few years but still have it tucked away....
...I'ved owned my 47 Ford pickup since 1979. Had it on the road in 1984. Took out a deer in 2006. Fixed and still on the road today. I've put over 150,000 miles on it. No end in sight...... Stan. ............. |

Re: How Long Have You Owned Your Car?
Wow! What great stories and pictures! It is hard to believe this many people kept their cars and trucks for so long. I admire each and every one of you! Through good times and hard times you have kept your cars and trucks. This is more than a hobby, its more like having an old friend around...
