Get yourself a good clutch disc that has lips where the springs go in so they cannot come out. Like this.

That's funny. I read horoscope and just thought that you were being clever by changing the words from boroscope to horoscope.

Yes it did have the springs. And you are right, that was causing all the rattling.

New disk is installed and works fine.
Legacy, I'm glad you got it repaired. Could you tell me how you got the old clutch out and the new one in? I'm always looking for a new/easier way to do things.
