Rear Motor Mount Safety Wire
Pictures of original safety wire. It is from a rusty '30 Tudor that the odometer showed 30,000 miles.

Re: Rear Motor Mount Safety Wire
Yes, I have had several unmolested original A's come thru my shop with the same method of safety wiring. Below is a picture of the late Dave Lopes' Fordor that is touted as the best unrestored original Model-A know to exist. The wiring matches your picture John.

Re: Rear Motor Mount Safety Wire
During my Navy enlistment, I worked on ejection seats/egress systems, that required safety wire on several system components. My QA (Quality Assurance) Inspector would look at a job I had done, count proper turns, direction and over-all appearance, and if not correct, would snip it off and tell me to do it over... when I did my motor mounts his words echoed as I made each turn.!

Re: Rear Motor Mount Safety Wire
Worked in the o/haul shop at P&WA, interesting when two guys wiring on the same flange (100+ bolts) and one miscounts and it all has to be redone (wiring 2 bolts together, then 2 more, etc.

Re: Rear Motor Mount Safety Wire
I try to add a twist between the two bolts, it is difficult get in there with wire twist pliers. My thought is to connect something between the two.
