Cool 31 late model carburetor

Hi Guys, happy new year to everyone. question : I am attempting to rebuild a 31 zenith 1 carb. in the disassembly I so far have 2 questions 1st the jets all have double fiber washers on them however the Paul Moller book on repairing these does not show 2 washers only one could there be a reason for washers on a previous rebuild? and #2 is the venture I removed has a small gasket on it but no where can I find one in the disassembly guide? can any one shed some light on this? and is the venture suppose to be pressed in or should it fit loosely. thanks the hooch

when replacing your jets including the float valve they need to be set at a pacific height, so if it takes one or two washer too accomplish that height so be it. the venturi are not a press fit but at times they came swell up and can be tuff to deal with.

All Jets one washer,Float valve may need 2 for height adjustment, but rarely,Idle jet no washers! No washer on the venture, and should fit easily. And make sure to look in jet holes for old gaskets.
