Mid 1928 thru Mid 1930 Open Cab question...
Contained in the Indianapolis Service Letter of May 25, 1928 was the following statement about the 1928 Open Cab body: "The Open Cab is now interchangable on the "A" and "AA" chassis".
Besides "spliting" the Open Cab body and the Pickup body into two seperate units or body styles...Just what else did Ford do to the Open Cab body to make it "interchangable" or fit the "AA" chassis? AND...DO THOSE FEATURES SHOW UP ON THE OPEN CAB BODY PLACED ON THE "A" CHASSIS ITSELF? Any of you with a Mid 1928 thru Mid 1930 Open Cab might be able to answer this question hopefully. Any photos of the tool storage area under the seat and the space behind the Rear Seat Riser would be great ESPECIALLY if you have the early-Mid-1930 style cab. Thanks. Contact Neil Wilson, he was just asking about the same question. Not sure what he found out.

Only thing I can think of is the extra rear cab mount bolt holes so it could be bolted to either frame.
