Just wondering if these are full length rods or just the ends that would get TIG welded to new rod stock? Bob

Does anyone know what happened to Craig Lewis? He seems to have left the board or at least doesn't post any more. He posted some very good information on a number of topics. I miss his posts.

Craig was a good guy and I miss his posts.
Unfortunately he got divorced and I haven't heard a thing after that.
Craig was the guy that taught me to NOT use silicone to seal a windshield, as it promotes rust.

Bob, this is for modifying reproduction brake rods to be aesthetically correct. The center upset is machined in a lathe to the same size & shape, the threaded end is machined to mimic rolled threads, and the loop-end is reshaped to be more rounded like the original. To most restorers, this is probably considered 'just wasting time', but the reason I do it is because all of this can be done in less time than correctly restoring original brake rods.

Tom, what you failed to take into account was that Canadian silicone affects metal much differently than US silicone, -and therefore is not a rust promoter here in the states.
