Default vacuum wiper hose header tab brackets

Hi,

I know that I need to install 3 tabs that hold the vacuum hose above the swing windshield. It looks like they could have the curved hose holders either direction.

Should the hose and curved part of the 3 header tabs be to the front or rear of the car?

Also it seems weird but my car has a channel that the hose seems to fit into without a the tabs and not sure why it is there.

thanks

I think mine faced to the rear, but it has been awhile. I figure as long as it fits and the window closes it is correct. Can you post a picture of the channel you are describing.
