Default Al Copones caddy

I know this is not about an "A" model ford, but thought it might be interesting.
This week-end they are going to auction of Al Copone's 1928 cadillac, They are expecting $300,000 to $500,000.
All the armor has been removed.
It was thought to have been taken by the govt. for the President because of the armor, But that was proven wrong by new evidence, New evidence also proved that this car was indeed Al Copones per. car.

Why would you remove the armour unless you were going to drive it everyday?

dumb person,
It was probley removed because Al Copone diden't need it any more, Plus it was 1'' thick and quite heavy, Better gas mileage and performance. JMO

Per history on the above link, it was removed when the car was "restored" circa 1958.
