Ford F100 1953 Mike Bishop Book needed! Please Help me!!!!

Hello!

Iam from germany and my boyfriend bought few month ago from california a ford F100 Pickup 1953. But its really, really dificult to get some information/good books about these cars here in Germany, cause not many people have this type of car here in germany. So he found out that there is a really great book from mike bishop "How To Restore and Modify Your 1953-1956 Ford F-100". But its not availible, nowhere. We looked through the whole internet, but we found nothing I want to find it for him and surprise him. So my question:

Does anybody have this book and want to sell it to a german desperate girl ? Or do you know where i can get this book?

I really hope anyone can help me, cause this car is the greatest thing on earth for my boufriend an i really want to rejoice him by finding this book.

Check out your local library for a start .

We already did. But as i said, these cars are really raw in germany, so there are no books about them. Its not typical for germans to drive these cars, cause we have to import them and its expensive. So he thought that its the best to buy an english book, cause we also undestand it. But, thats the problem, we also can not find an english book.

But thank you for your reply, maybe someone else has it (or maybe you know an other good book about restore a ford f100 1953)

@ jimvette59 : Thank you very much! I also found this book, but my boyfriend said to me that he thinks that this is not as good as "How To Restore and Modify Your 1953-1956 Ford F-100". He is not sure if there is enough information about F100 in the book " how to restore your Ford pickup". did you read it? Is there much information in it about restoring (?) Ford F100 1953? If yes, then i maybe buy this, cause i think i will never find the book from mike bishop

Amelie, restorations involve a variety of skills. Books are a great reference but hands on experience and a fully equipped shop is essential also there is a lot of information on this Forum under Community. Good Luck and get in there and work with him even if it is just handing him tools and helping out. jim.t.

Can you post a few photos so we can see what your boyfriend has for a truck?.He could probably get some help from people right here .I have done a few of the f-100's .Still got one in progress.Thanks

Yes, i will try to help him as good as i can. He got some good tools and a car workshop ( i dont know if its the right word) with enough space to restore his car.

So here are some photos of his car ( i found out that its a 1954, ooops, shame on me )

I would get an air filter for the carburetor to start off with .Don't run the engine without one .It looks better than the pickup I started out with .
