Default 40 sedan rear ashtray(s)

Guys,
I need a little help here. Most of my experience is with coupes and convertibles. I need to know exactly what authentic ashtray(s) looked like in both the Fordor and Tudor sedans - Deluxe and Ford V8 models.
So, super nice unrestored cars out there???

Thanks!

Pics of the rear ashtray in my Deluxe two-many door sedan... All original seat with a vinyl cover over the striped mohair.

Thanks guys.
Well, I remain confused. Hal, yours appears to be wood grained. Ken, yours appears to be painted.

Could be the difference between standard and deluxe? I had a 40 deluxe fordor and the ash tray was wood grained. It still had all the original interior in the car.

I removed a pair of rear seat ash trays from a 40 Ford Deluxe Tudor and they had remnants of wood graining. See Photos.

Geez, I never knew a 40 4 door sedan used that particular tray. Not long ago I trashed several as I could never identify them.

Tom, it’s seemed 10k sq feet isn’t enough space to house our parts.... so sometimes thing find their way to the dumpster.

Mike, of the ones I had they were woodgrained, and were NOS

I am confident that the Deluxe models received wood grained trays.
I am tending to believe the Ford V8 models were not fitted with rear ash trays. Anyone?

That is my understanding, FWIW.

Hopefully someone with a '40 standard fordor and tudor will speak up. Lots of smokers in those days, so i would think those cars would have the rear ash trays.

Well, yes and no.
Henry resisted putting lighters and ash trays in cars for years.
Also, this may have been one of those little things that got a person to step up to the "new & improved" Deluxe model.

I have to go through a zillion photos I have here of cars I've owned and see what they might show me.

Once again - thanks guys for all the help thus far.
