Not for me to say, however, my disabilities tho different are imprisoning me.

There is a time for all seasons, or something like that.

We have missed him for quite a while.

Someone here managed to speak with his wife. Out of courtesy tho, he would not elaborate.

Ronnie, thank you for posting the link to Eric Clapton's discussion of Martin guitars.....really enjoyed it and went on to dig more into his guitar background. Really enjoy his music!! And, not surprised the Walt, the Flathead Genius, has yet another great talent!!

Today I went to the Gardiner waterfront park car show and sitting there was Walt DuPont.
I easily spotted his Ford with the 4 carbs and he was sitting behind it in the shade, we talked a good while and he was the Walt I remembered from years past, still has a great sense of humor, and he’s got 2 flattys he’s doing right now. I had not seen Walt for at least ten years until today, it sure was great seeing and talking with him.
We are all cruising our Fords/& other car makes, along with our lives to a time when things will change significantly for us, all too soon, our time on this earth with friends is so very precious. He still has a happy slightly devilish smile.
I got a picture of Walt today on the electronic camera card, now how to get it onto this site is the challenge, so any ideas will be great. He has a fresh “flat top” head of hair, neat crew cut, so first thing he asks is “ hows my hair?”, as he pats it down. I said “your hairs fine, take more than a tornado to get it out of place.” He grinned.
I should have asked the two fellas sitting with him their names but forgot to.

Greetings Everyone. Six volt, I sent a PM with my email if you want to try to send me that picture, a text message will work too, I'll send my phone number.

Walt is unforgettable. He hosted a batch of 'Barn'ers during a tour we did through Maine. Breakfast at the local diner and drooling on his four-carb '40 were included.

For everyone's entertainment/education check out this old thread which links to some Youtube vids of Walt lecturing about oiling.

I noticed after shooting the vids that he's got an original FordBarn T-shirt on.

Thanks Jeff, and of course Walt.

Someone should probably start a thread of the collection of classic FB threads and videos. Technical related. Should be monitored as well by admin so it doesn't get junked up. Or not.

Someone tell Walt there have been 1300 views to this post, which translates roughly to 1300 people who care about him and wish him the best!
