Tillotson identification
What Tillotson is this a picture of in the Paul Moller book?
What years was it in production? Is it cast iron or is it alloy? Are spare parts/rebuild kits available for it? Is it the same jets as the Zeniths that it resembles? |

Re: Tillotson identification
That is a Tillotson F1B , Not sure what years that it was made but acording to how many that I've seen on eBay it must have been more popular than Paul Moller thought . The F1B is an alloy carb. Smith and Jones model A parts in Columbia South Carolina has gaskets and maybe some other parts. The jets are not the same as Zenith and it isn't an exact copy. Some Zenith . Parts such as the float and maybe some other Zenith parts may can be used. As in most carburetors, the original jets can be cleaned and reused and there should be no need to replace jets unless they are broken or missing.
