Help ID horns
Can anyone ID these horns?
Bought the pair out of an old barn for $25 for the pair. Lot more Model A and T parts in there, but so were snakes, spiders and rats. Going back later to help him clean it up and hopefully get some more parts.

Re: Help ID horns
It's official...over 100 views and no one can ID these, they must be very rare and valuable.
Heading to Ebay, what do you think, $1000 each? Hey, give me a break, I saw a pair a license plate brackets sell for over $100 not long ago.

Re: Help ID horns
To me, they look like aftermarket vibrator horns sold by stores such as Montgomery Wards or Western Auto, or ??? to replace faulty original Model-A horns. Since I never have a need for them, I don't follow the market for them to be able to give you a value, so I will just wish you well and hope that you get your asking price on them!!

Re: Help ID horns
Any markings on them? Bracket on one looks like Model A so I'd agree they're probably aftermarket replacements. $1K each is a little optimistic - maybe for the pair.

Re: Help ID horns
They are NOT Model A horns. I have seen a lot of horns similar to those over the years. One is a vibrator the other I can not see enough of the guts to tell if there is a motor or vibrator. I still have a couple vibrators somewhat similar but with longer bells. I do not believe they are anything special, but then again if they were you might get a good price. At this point from what I can tell you paid a fair price for them and may be you could make a few $$s, but $1000 each is extremely optimistic.

I will get them both working, the rotating motor I'm almost sure is an Ooga horn, very curious about the vibration one...what will it sound like? NOTE: You all understand that I was being facetious with my second post...right?

And that's why I appreciate the Ford Barn, helpful information with a splash of humor
