Default 1940 ford pickup and 1940 ford panel truck

I thought I would share some photo's of the projects that I'm working on 1940 pickup and a 1940 panel truck that was a flower truck for a funeral home that was bought new about 20 miles from me and hope warmer weather is here soon.

Isn't it funny how all our projects become an extra shelf or bin for storing whatever! Nice work you did on the pickup.
Cheers, Byron W.

Really nice '40 pickup. I would love to find one to rebuild like that.

Great stuff !

Nice color combo on the pick up, you might think I'm a little partial by looking at the car in my avatar.

I loved what we called Candy Apple Red back in the day. I painted my AMT 1940 Ford coupe model kit that color. Still looks great on your truck.

Wow,both nice old trucks ! That pickup is a work of art even though someone sliced some slots in the hood ! lol Really nice job on the paint . One of my favorite colors ,too!
Spring is coming ! We are down to about two feet of snow in the field ! You'll be riding that John Deere before long and cruising in that gorgeous truck !!

When I found the pickup it was in a field and had a 1954 ford bed and was in pretty rough condition. A lot of time has been spent getting it to what it looks like now.

Just so you will know that we are paying attention; I note that you have removed the passenger side spare from your 40 and either hammered out the indentation that came on the fender(like I hammered out mine) or you replaced the fender from another year pkp that did not have the spare on the passenger side.

Alert Al... I think!!

Yes, I did the pound out!! And I also redone the running board where it was smooth for clearance for the tire cover, I continued the same ridge as the others. As mentioned, I do have 72 louvers in the hood.
Thanks for looking at my pictures.
