Default Very Early 1930 Model A bodies...

Besides the gas tank...what are some very early features of the 1930 Model A bodies assembled in November-December 1929?

Thanks.

Pluck

The cowl band extended down to the splash apron and the lower body molding ended short of the firewall to accommodate the longer cowl band (JS 15-6). Changed to the more conventional configuration in March 1930.

Two piece splash aprons. The starter grommet on the fire wall was different on early 30 cars.

Per the "Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards", 2011 revisions, page 18-2:
"A pressed steel/forged bar with two slotted holes for the license plate bolts was introduced in May 1930 and discontinued in September 1930 when it reverted to a round, forged design."
There is a photo of the headlamp bars on page 18-3.

the early 30 used the same starter rod grommet as the 28-29 then they went with a big round one that was made for the big hole in the firewall. then after that they used the grommet and cover with three rivets in it.
