Original 1941 brakes are Lockheed non-self-energizing and have limitations. I
would recommend converting at least the fronts to new Lincoln-Bendix self-energizing brakes. Reason being that the Lockheed brakes for the most part only use the forward shoe to stop when going forward, while the Bendix use both the forward and rearward shoe. This will provide much-improved stopping as compared to the original Lockheeds. Adding a booster to your 41 would be a PITA and require modifications while providing only a "band-aid" solution. Spend the time and $ instead on the Bendix brakes and forget the booster...
