Default Starter question.

I am looking to order a new starter for my 51 automatic V8 convertible. What is the difference between the automatic and standard starters. Is it just the drive portion? Can this be swapped from my old starter?

Thanks, Eric.

The major difference is the way it mounts to the mount plate. It has an aluminum mount with one 'ear' on the starter mount.

What would be a fair price for a rebuild of my existing starter?
