German 32 Ford
Hi Guy's! I just wanted to share some pictures of a dash and garnish moldings We did for a customer with German 32 Ford. I was surprised to find out that they were constructed of wood rather than metal. I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised as many foreign models used wood right up to the sixties.. anyway I thought I would share with you.
the owner asked for us to wood grain them the same as the 34 Ford American models which is actually correct for the German 32. I think (Little Johnny) Johnathan Sullivan at Honest Charley Garage did a fantastic job. He is a true artist with his work and a excellent painter. Anybody else have a German Ford here on the Ford Barn? would love to see the complete car. |

What is that black strip in the dash, is that in the wood? is that original 32 wood? Beautifull work. Walt

Re: German 32 Ford
There's one in Jacksonville, FL. "rockfla" is a Ford Barn member, posts frequently and should respond. Car is currently under restoration in northern Georgia.
Behind the '32 in the linked picture is their German-built '35 Ford Cabriolet. https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&rct=...47968512133192

Re: German 32 Ford
Yes, that black strip is just part of the grain in the natural wood. The wood was sealed, epoxy primed and wet sanded.

Re: German 32 Ford
Your work is beyond fabulous, we are extremely proud to have your caliber of work front and center on the car. To all FordBarner's the proof is in the "pudding". This is no outta the box work as you can see above and fairly priced. Highly recommended on my behalf.
