I have both the top and bottom seats for my 36 pickup. The top has wood attached, and the bottom sets on the wood. The plywood bottom has 2 holes to position the seat. How does the bottom cushion attach to the wood? It doesn't seem like it would just sit on the wood. Thanks Ron

Usually the springs have small metal tabs around the outer edge with small holes in the tabs for screws or tacks to go to the plywood. If the tabs are missing you can use the small nylon wire clamps around the edge to secure the spring. Once the upholstery is installed the spring will never move.

Yes there should be 4 (I believe) thin tin pieces (approx 1" by 2") bent over and with a hole to use a wood screw to attach the bottom spring to the plywood base. Two across the front and one on each side.
The upolstery is then rolled around the edge of the plywood base and tacked to the bottom of the plywood. A good upolstery shop will know what to do.
