Default Identifying Model A Engine year

I have a Model A Engine which I beleive to be a 1929. However it has a Power House Generator on it and I understand that the Power House was only put on the 1928.
Other than the extended oil pump tube what other features identify the 1929 engine from an exterior view.
Thanks

Default Identifying Model A Engine year

In trying to identify the specific grade of my model 8 is there or should there be a stamp of the grade letter somewhere in particular or do I need to identify the grade by the observable features of the rifle?

Thanks.
